Lindsey winding up with Heath is not entirely a surprise and solves a number of problems for the author. She has broken up with Heath and is dating her main client Mark. So, since she hasn’t grown up in a werewolf environment, she has been lacking with that side of herself. Throughout the trilogy, Sophie seems to agonize over her animal chemistry no pun intended with Tom since he is Lindsey’s companion.
And it’s refreshing because the reader goes on the journey of discovery with the character. Sophie is content with blowing him off completely until she receives word from Tom, a fellow werewolf, that her father is going to be tried for murder.
